GOD'S LOVE CANNOT BE CONTAINED

GOD'S LOVE CANNOT BE CONTAINED

God's love cannot be contained
But poured out oil and wine
So great a burden for the lost
He saved this soul of mine

How He awaits with longsuffering
Plenteous in Mercy and Grace
With eyes going to and fro over His earth
Who will seek His face?

Oh we are swift to take shelter in
A devils doctrine sure
And sleight the Hand of our Living Lord
Whose shelter is Secure

Where are you wise men? Show us your wares!
Can you forgive from sin?
Where are the dead you say you've raised
The poor still in poverty live

Deceived and being deceived
Those who reject the Word
They cannot change His Authorship
The True and Living Lord

Put your writing's on buses
Put them on the planes
Put them on as bumper stickers
Call our God some names!

Better do it swiftly
For Christ will soon appear
To turn you world upside down
He is the True Consumator

He, made Heaven and Earth
And still He loves to save
Not only is He the Author
But the Finisher of our Faith

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me
Who have not drawn the veil to see
If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
