God's Wedding Band Poem by Edwin Tanguma

God's Wedding Band

I will not fear
The day I die
If you ask me
I’ll tell you why

I have been sealed
By God I think
Not with a pen
Nor any ink

‘Twas a signet
Made for my hand
Could it have been
God’s wedding band

Once I was sealed
The seal was tossed
Until this day
It has been lost

Yet I wonder
Where might it be
I hear its voice
Call out to me

Maybe one day
We’ll meet again
And we just may
Abolish sin
