God's Wedding Band

I will not fear
The day I die
If you ask me
I’ll tell you why

I have been sealed
By God I think
Not with a pen
Nor any ink

‘Twas a signet
Made for my hand
Could it have been
God’s wedding band

Once I was sealed
The seal was tossed
Until this day
It has been lost

Yet I wonder
Where might it be
I hear its voice
Call out to me

Maybe one day
We’ll meet again
And we just may
Abolish sin

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
We wish that one should love, the other win;
