Going Back To Japan Poem by Leah DeCresce

Going Back To Japan

When you go, make it easy for me.
Take my resentment with you,
& the dirty deeds we've done.
Let me forget.
Forget you, forget what we did,
forget where we went wrong.

Pretend it never happened.
Pretend I don't exist.
I don't care.
You are not how you said you were.

You are not the man I met four years ago,
you're just some silly little boy who's taken his place.
