Going Out Poem by Odnalor Tines

Going Out

I was once an egg
To be hatched is what I beg

The shell starts to be broken
I came out when it was totally open

With positive impression on all things
I'm eager to explore my surroundings

Beautiful sceneries around me
Seducing my eyes to see

But as I look beyond the comeliness
There are lots of hidden ugliness

It blinded my right eye
With my left wanting to cry

I want to go back!
Inside the shell even if with crack

I tried to fit myself again
But I was just making myself insane

I left the broken shell
Wishing everything to be well

I must accept my destiny
Looking forward for a mystery
