Going Toward Strong Poem by Linda Gantt

Going Toward Strong

Rating: 5.0

Did I ever need strength- yesterday,
when horns too sharp nicked skin soft to the touch.

I found it- with mantra and more mantra.

Did I ever need strength- today,
when horns prodded and almost embedded.

I found it- with mantra and more mantra.

Tomorrow? Will I need strength then too?
Always, I fear, he lures me naked and downward.

I'll find it- with mantra and more mantra.
