Gold Price Shoots Up Poem by narayana aghalaya

Gold Price Shoots Up

kilograms of gold,
neighbors envy, owners pride;
robbers, can get bold,
bank lockers, are safe to hide,
strange peace of mind, as one strides.

to wear gold on self,
is to, play with, one's safety;
if lost, one is left,
high and dry, in self pity;
on way, to/from, a party.

best to be modest,
not vulgar, as one buys jewels;
set standards, for rest;
there is no need, to, level;
leave Joneses to their pelf.

gold, as investment,
has several, schools of thought;
but, use own judgement;
to tempt buyers, is the plot.
money on gold, mostly rots.
