Golden Wings
The rain spatters on the glass
Tracing patterns as it races down
Wind blows strong through the trees
So much sadness pouring over me
Your silence keeps me here with you
No more jokes come from your lips
Just whispered breaths for me to hold
Serenity unfolds her golden wings
Stands behind you to comfort thoughts
I would give anything for this night to last
But soon it will be gone with your spirit
Dancing upwards into darkness arms
Rest well now curled in sleep at last
