Gone Forever

Light wants to come and take you away,
But darkness doesn’t think you’ll stay,
It thinks you’re too scheming,
But I’m not agreeing,
And which ever you like best,
I think you’ll go west,
And follow it home,
Until they’ll never see you behind them roam,
Tracing, following the footsteps beam,
Across the void of forever you seem,
I know why you try,
Why you try to fly,
Away from everyone you seem to go,
Crawling down below,
Below the skies of night,
That doesn’t seem so right,
Right enough for you,
Hopefully you do,
Find what you’ve searched for,
I’ll just leave through this door,
So if you’re looking,
I’ll be over here staring,
Staring out at the darkness,
Watching for sadness,
Waiting, waiting,
For one whose skating,
Skating across my mind’s eye,
‘Cause I’m at a curtain call,
And I might just fall,
Fall for another,
For you cursed me with bad weather,
And now I’m stuck on this rack,
‘Cause you said you’d never come back.

Very good feeling and expression. But you said more than the poem needs.Poetry is not prose.Do not say everything you feel.Keep something for the readers to think. A poem is shrouded.
