Gone Missing Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Gone Missing

If you see my face plastered
On a sheet of paper against the wall,
Do not come looking for me.
If for some reason the days &
Nights don't seem right,
Or there is something that happens
And I am the person you want to tell
Whether good or bad.
If something grabs you by the heart
And you begin to search,
Know that everything is alright.
I am where I want to be.

If you've searched for me around
The city & still cannot find me,
If you've become familiar
With my habits or even recognize
My car, you will not see it.
I am where I want to be.
I did not abandon you
Nor did I pack up everything I own
& Walk out through your ear.
I found someone who's shown me
The importance of being valued,
Without having to be reminded that
I am here.

Somehow I've fallen asleep and
Have woken up in a beautiful Woman's dream.
If you see my face plastered
On a sheet of paper against the wall,
Do not come looking for me.
Everything is alright,
I am where I want to be.
& That place,
That place is somewhere where
I am valued
