Good-Bye Poem by Cheyenne Watkins

Good-Bye

You said you loved me.
You told me so many things.
So many beautiful things,
Way too good to be true.
But you're a stranger now.
You're a different person.
I don't know what to expect, because
I don't know you.
The man I knew would never be so cowardly.
The man I knew would never hurt me like this.
The man I knew was perfect.
The man I knew loved me.
And now, I find out you don't.
I discovered how easily I fall for your tricks.
You took away our happy ending.
No more 'us'. No more 'we'.
And I don't think you understand how much it hurts.
I don't think you understand how fragile a girl's heart is.
I don't think you understand how to love.
I don't think you understand.
But now it's all over and done with.
Know that I loved you so, so much.
Know that I cared about you more than myself.
Know that I enjoyed being with you, and
Have a happy life.
Good-bye.
