Good Dog Poem by Carsten Thomsen

Good Dog

We share tables
I at the paying
drinking spot
He passed out
in the shade
on the pavement
dreaming dog dreams

The music is blaring
people talking,
laughing, shouting
yet he seems
indifferent and oblivious
to the commotion

I sit watching him
for hours
till passing bike
awakens him
and the Kodak Moment
is lost forever
as he chases off
after it
barking

good dog!
