Good Enough Poem by Ellinore Swope

Good Enough

You looked at me
Then you looked away
You looked back
You smiled just a bit
But when I told you
The way that I feel
You pushed me away
Wasn't I good enough for you?
Will I be good enough for you?
I'm still loving you
I'm still waiting for you
Open your eyes
See what's right in front of you
Look at me
See what I mean
See the love in my eyes
See the softness in my smile
Open your eyes
And see what's right in front of you
Am I good enough
Am I good enough for you?
Tell me the truth
How do you feel
How do you see me
Is this all there is?
You just want to be friends
As I sit waiting and waiting
For you to realize
No one will love you the way that I do
No one will wait for you the way that I do
There's no one else for you
But I'll wait until it's my turn
Until you realize
What's been right before you all this time
I'm slowly decomposing on the inside
Waiting and waiting for all eternity
Come and bring me back to life
If I'm good enough.
