I haven't seen them for what must now be years
Not since our much younger days
Partners, careers and chance, they all take us on different roads
Some for the better, some should never, have left home
But when I see you, it's like we are young again
Good friends last throughout the years

"Yeah, I sometimes thought of you
Wondered what you might have become"
As we talked about the old times
Through another round of beers

You in that expensive dress, me in my jeans to big
Sharing a ride, on the old 365
It was almost love, so why didn't I try, why wasn't I brave, enough
Good friends last throughout the years

It's late in the evening, recalling, rejoicing
Singing the songs of yesterday
The years haven't changed us, well maybe just a touch
You always had so much good to say
Good friends last throughout the years
