Good Morning Poem by ONElia AVElar

Good Morning

Rating: 2.9

Good morning!
Mmmm, milky fog
in province,
sleepy crow of a cock,
dizzy crickets
in the grass
Take your morning
gown and join me
on the terrace to
watch the dawn,
yet in a veil.
Old peasants say,
in foggy mornings like this
God comes
to the Earth
to make incognito visits.

The essense of province is indeed rather godlike - being able to sense it is a privilege, being able to express it a blessing. Rgds, Ivan

It's also said that the face of God moves upon the waters...but I like your image better...it does seem a good morning...Coach

The natural elements are welcome in this poem of environment. They introduce to the divine visit. They introduce to a visit of a fatherly figure that hides in the fog. The fog of the past?

Oh, how much I loved this, Onelia: take your morning gown and join me on the terrace to watch the dawn yet in a veil - yes that's when God pays us a visit incognito to stir our hearts to fly upwards and meet him in mid-air that he may slowly bring us back to earth to be bathed in the fresh dews of gardens in delight. Oh, this is so good. Mark

You transport me directly to this lovely landscape in early dawn, the sounds and the atmosphere, with your clear, simple words. Beautiful!
