Good Night (Almost A Lullaby) Poem by Karina Lakeyeva

Good Night (Almost A Lullaby)

Rating: 3.0

Close thy eyes, oh my heart, oh my small,
Go to sleep with me. It’s in my power –
Gently to catch if thou happen to fall
And to embosom thee. Let thy dreams flower,

Let thy dendritic thoughts come into leaf.
We will sail past all the islands of doles,
No storm in this serene, no reef,
Only the glimmer of stars, heavens’ moles.

Thy even breath’s like the lap of my waves,
My sleeping seraph with wet feather, thou.
Feeling that warmth of thy light visions laves
Poems of mine, I kiss thee on the brow.

All the night long sleep, my treasure, sleep tight.
Morrow’ll bring new tales… but now – Good Night…

A lullaby indeed, hehe. Just lovely. I really liked this one :) And you did a great job with the sonnet form. Well-done!
