Goodbye Heart Goodbye Love Poem by Silence Dogood

Goodbye Heart Goodbye Love

I use to think we'd last forever.
Until the day you asked to leave.
I thought we could fight through all the lies.
And that you'd still love me.

I thought we could be perfection.
And make it to the very end.
I thought that we were everything.
We could ever intend.

But oh how wrong was I?
To believe in fairytales.
To think you could be my prince.
When you sent cheap emails.

That was your goodbye.
A message on a PC
Not in person not on phone.
You truly hated me.

And than you got a new girl.
Who you loved with all your heart.
You totally forgot our break-up scene.
And how we fell apart.

And the worst thing that you did
Was when you dared to asked.
'Do you think that me and Isabell
can ever really last? '

My reply was ' Yes I think you will
But I thought that about us too'
And I swear your jaw dropped.
When I said I still love you.

And than I turned away.
took a few steps to the west.
Never to look back.
At my heart layed to rest.

For while your jaw dropped.
My heart fell to your knees.
Shattered and broken.
For you to do what you please.

And as I walked away from you.
unknowingly you stepped on my heart.
There it lay squshed at your feet.
Forever broken apart.

This is well written, and beautiful. Reminds me of my past relationship, one that I never really forgot. Oh, and I like the name your writing under. [;
