Goodbye My Sweet. Poem by Elizabeth Rabbit

Goodbye My Sweet.

Rating: 5.0

I never once thought we'd drift apart,
I knew I wasn't your first, but I'd always hoped I'd be your last.
I helped heal all your scars from the past,
you helped me too,
I felt like nothing until I had you,
I was nothing,
but you still choose me to woo,
you've always got girls queuing,
yet I know I'm the only one you've been pursuing.
But just recently it seems like we've only been screwing,
I don't know what it is we've stopped doing,
but the spark's gone out and we're moving on.
It's time we started a new life to look upon,
time we separated from being two,
me away from you.
I'll always love you for who you enabled me to become,
taught me to embrace whatever may come;
I don't want to hold you back anymore,
we can't pretend it's gonna go back to like before,
we've grown apart, that we can't ignore,
I'm gonna end this before coming home to me simply becomes a chore,
I'm sorry but you're never gonna see me walk back through that door.
