Goodbye [new] Poem by Melanie Walendowsky Baker

It's time to say goodbye now.
There's nowhere else to go.
We've had it all.
We've had it good,
a love I'll always know.

But it's time to say farewell,
for there's no future I can see.
Just lonely pangs
and lonely thoughts
just a pitiful way to be.

So it's time to say goodbye
to all that we have had.
The tender times.
The wondrous days.
-And I promise to not be sad.
