Goodnight Kiss

Our eyes are love-blurred – gazing peacefully;
envisioning voluptuous kisses tenderness
enclosed in the serenity of darkness.
Whispering romances – professing our love wonderfully;
effulgent smiles of unbound jolliness
upon our faces without neither a teardrop nor inkling of sadness.
Our all-pervading love spellbinds; intertwining our hearts luminously;
until the sun peaks and thereafter in cherished foreverness
with our kisses of the night - each witching hour in prodigiousness.
This superlative dusk-to-dawn moment is befitting universally.

poet Robert Browning

After
by Robert Browning

Take the cloak from his face, and at first
Let the corpse do its worst!

How he lies in his rights of a man!
Death has done all death can.
