Grandma Poem by Kirsten Gray

Grandma

i wrote this with all of my family and friends (and some who are both) who have lost a grandma in mind.

Your eyes they brim with tears
For someone you’ve known for many years
She is gone now and won’t come back
But don’t despair things are not black
She loved you and cared for you
And you did the same for her too
Towards the end she may have forgotten
But that doesn’t make your memories rotten
That just makes them all the more unique
To be treasured like a precious antique
The death of your grandma it’s true
Will take a large toll on you
But you will go on with life
And survive this strife
You’ll do what she wanted and carry on
But you shall always remember her with each new dawn

What a sweet tribute to your grandmother and all the grandmothers who have left this world and who are in Heaven above looking down on all of you.... I just lost my mother, and she was very very close to our daughter, who was very upset when she passed..... Very sweet, and you are sweet to take your time to write such a beautifull tribute to her, I am sure she loved you deeply.... Bonnie
