Grass

Is the grass
Truly as green as they say
Or is it just a mass
Of muddy clay
Spray painted
And fake
I don't want to
Venture to see
If it isn't true
I don't want my
Fantasy and childhood dreams
To be crushed
My innocence
To turn to dust

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
