Greece Conscious

Confident with Greek after 'omicron' -
though there's a favored way,
you can say a word
almost however you like -
I took on Christos Tsiolkas's 'Dead Europe'.

'Panepistimiou' was a cinch.
From tennis I already knew
Thanasi Kokkinakis,
so easy too was Thanassis.
Finding its meaning
ain't a chore no more:
it's 'eternal life' and 'immortal',
not 'gods' gift' - that's 'Theodore'.
