Grey Area Poem by Tarbia Hamid

Grey Area

Below the waves strike
Wildly against the rocks
Above, lie the seven serene skies
And the million little stars
But the misty fog separating the two,
I dare not cross

Beyond lies the empty darkness
Ahead lie the blinding lights.
Rays of hope
But the fringes separating the two,
I dare not cross

In the unconsciousness lie
The dreams
In the consciousness, lies the truth
And from the slumber separating the two,
I dare not rise

Behind me lies the reality
Ahead lies fantasy
But the dream separating the two.
I dare not dream
