Guardian Angel Poem by Ms.Tanease Berry

Guardian Angel

Rating: 4.5

AS I lay you down far below the rocks on the ground,
I feel I see you even now.
Your smile, that shines so bright,
is the one thing I hold on to in this lonely life.
With pain that never seem to go away,
and tears that pore down like rain.
I hope and I pray that I'll get the chance
to see you again someday.
Time moves on.
My heart seems like there will always be something wrong.
Remembering the good times, drowning out the bad,
I am so thankful for all the times we've had.
It's never to late to say goodbye.
Holding on to you, is all I feel I can.
one last thing before I lose control,
I'll close my eyes and say this prayer,
for what I feel,
and what I fear are so, so real.
Loosing you is what it took
for me to just give up.
Now I know I cant do this alone.
I'll fall to my knees because,
I know God is all I need,
so rest in peace now,
and do me a favor watch over me
my guardian angel.

Well articulated and beautifully penned. I KNOW GOD IS ALL I NEED - a lovely expression of faith. FAITH KEEPS THOSE THAT KEEP THE FAITH - Mother Teresa. A nice poem written with conviction. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem THE PHOENIX STRANGLER.
