Guardian Love Poem by Alex York

Guardian Love

She smiles
When she hears
The familiar rumble
Of a harley, knowing
That I'm home
Glancing towards the apartment
I see the door open
I smile as I feel her arms
Around me, squeezing tight
I hear her whisper 'I missed you'
Removing my helmet I whisper
'I missed you too'

Picking her up, I carry her
Into the apartment
Smiling as I set her down
And her arms stay around my neck
Looking at her face
I see that she has been crying
I see she didnt sleep
Because the bed was empty
I wrap my arms around her
And hold her close
Whispering into her ear
'I'm here now'
