HAI YE EK DUA

Hai ye ek dua rab se,
Krta raha hu tab se
Jab se hai ye dil toota,
Ankho se neer chhuta
Karata tha pyar usase,
Chaha tha maine khud se
Socha tha milega pyar,
Jindagi me aayegi bahaar
Pyar hua na nasib,
Ham the sayad badnasib
Sapana ye gaya toot pal me,
Jab suna ek baat halchal me
Uska bhi koi yar hai,
Jisase usko bhi pyar hai
Dono hi shamkaksha hai,
Aadat se dono swachha hai
Ye kahani hai pyar ki gar adhuri,
To hota hai kuchh likhana jaruri
Gar pyar usko na hona tha mujhse,
To phir ye nazarein mili kyi thi usase
Wo khushi ek pal ki thi kis kaam ki,
Hai gam jisne diye jindagi bhar apne naam ki

EVEN such is Time, that takes in trust
Our youth, our joys, our all we have,
And pays us but with earth and dust;
