Half Empty (No Half Full) Poem by Andrew Matthews

Half Empty (No Half Full)

Half Empty {no half full}

I've drank too much coffee tonight
And I can't get to sleep
Wishing that I wasn't so deep
Listening to the second hand on my alarm clock creep
wishing that my cousin hadn't crashed his jeep
'A patch of black ice' he said
Glad he's alright, no blood shed
Each day reveals new surprises for us
No wonder we scream and cuss.

'Try and think positively' they say
Focus your thoughts every day
From May to May
Each and every day
Take each and every day as you find it
It'll get easier, little by little, bit by bit.
