Half Way There Poem by Paul Prescott

Half Way There

I road a hundred miles, just to be with you,
I road through snow and rain,
For us to see things through,
Even my body was in pain

I road a thousand miles, just to hold your hand,
I road a thousand miles without a lie,
I dug my hard way through sand,
But still I did not even cry

I road a million miles, just to be with you on that day,
I road a million miles with my heart,
Every time I go so near, I became far away,
And then we became apart

So then I was just,
Half way there
