Hapiness Poem by Ahmed Jimoh

Hapiness

A heart full of delight
A soul free of plight
A mind void of worries
A face lit by smiles
All makes a happy being
A being at one with itself

Where from comes its flow
Within the heart so deep?
Without the being so pitted?
Wherever it so come from
We surely seek it with ardour
Wishing it outflow the oceans

Often we discover a source worldly
Of hapiness feeling so pure
On tight we so cling
Overly building our lives on it
Overwhelmed and mooning
Oblivous of a noble truth

But when the truth came in a blaze
Breaking apart the foundatiom so loaded
Battered we are, yet on an epic fall
Boom! We sounded shattered on crash
By Allah, great indeed is the pain
Bleakness thus ascend the throne

Darkness envelopes the heart
Does dazzling lights only shines temporarily?
Didn't the sun but seem to shine everly?
Deficient indeed are the sources wordly sought
Design to last but for a while
Despite which the sun yet smiles on
Displaying enchanting beauty over ages

For some the broken pot shall be mended
Few whose pieces can be gathered
Fault lines running deep openly or masked
Fortunate still are those
For some can never be a pot again
Fine earth with no strength they become

Then where shall we turn
The rocky orient or the cold occident
The cloudy sky or the scorched earth
To Allah alone can we safely turn
The Lord of the easts and the wests
The one who fashioned our being
The one in whose love alone lies
True unending hapiness
