Happy Birthday To Me
Guess I'm another year older
And these shoulders have grown colder
I don't always mean to be such a pessimist
It all just comes out that way
26 years old today
It's a strange time
I didn't always use to see the cup as half-empty
I just turned out that way
Guess life just does that to some people
I'd like to change direction
Get better
See the beauty in small things again
Maybe 26 will be better than 25
I Don't know
But I Have to try
The heaviness never did release from all the sighs
It's all up to me
To become who I want to be
Here's to another year of life
To Me and to You
Let's be good to ourselves
And to each other
You become more cynical as you get older. Your heart grows wearier, the cycle of life
