Remember to honor your father dear
On Father's Day, without fail;
The family-ship, he tried his best to steer
And kept you hearty and hale.
Daddy deserves much respect from children;
He sacrificed his whole life;
He earned the sums that made the home, heaven;
He rescued you from all strife.
Pillar of strength, he protected you all;
He made your future rosy;
He counseled you in life to never fall;
He made your world much cosy.
May be, his advice was out-dated quite;
His words of wisdom came true;
He did not change his specs despite bad sight;
He loved, and cared and reared you.
He did not sleep when your exams, you wrote;
He bought you dresses anew;
When things went wrong, he told a brainy quote;
He paid all fees, kept no due.
Oh, what a lovely person, your dad was!
His value, you never knew;
He kept his patience, scolded by his boss;
Your dad was one 'mongst a few!
