Happy Mothers Day Poem by Karin Elizabeth Martin

Happy Mothers Day

If you are a Mother
Want to be one, missing yours,
Never could be, never would be...
Searching for her, night and day
Maybe she bore you and couldn't stay.
Lucky enough to have her still
Wishing for a better one
Or thinking of all the things
You or she should have done.
Remembering things
Imagining ways
Wondering if you are doing it right
Loving the attempts
Crying sometimes at the failures
A Mothers love goes on forever
She may never be who you imagine
but she is part of your soul
and will always hope to be
an Angel beneath your wings
Unconditionally and
Forever
