Happy New Year

To my mother who mingles and merry make with my ancestors,
To my brother who they keep the fable blade of danger just as that.
To my sister who grew to be the canal of will they bask in.
And to my friend who those of his ancestors remains part of me still.
The Earth is tilt,
The year dares to swirl away into its darkness.
As we gather, not in flesh, but in spirit.
Sailing toward a newer beginning,
One I fancy it to be prosperous, love infested and past redeeming.
May we not forget that of the past,
For which they are but a foundation of the new bricks we are to lay.
As our ship crosses through the equator,
From the sphere of this year toward the next,
May our hearts be unleaded with the sorrows and the heartaches of our pre-inhabited island.
For the one our compass dares point,
Is unfilthed and promising.
Promising for all that would wash in its waters and eat its souvering fruits.
And then we will once again dance our foolish dances of kindness,
Around about the fire of love tinted with hope,
Unto our home.
I guess through all that I have said,
Throughout between the lines,
All that I wanted to say was; "HAPPY NEW YEAR"
May it be a grandest one yet...
