By this new year, may God bless people,
Sprinkle joy all over the world,
For the days ahead in triumphs and celebrations,
And peace flag, far and wide, furl,
Hosting on the hill's height, and seen above by all!

By this new year, may wisdom shower
Into every human mind and heart,
And let freedom and love flower on every parched orb,
And heal all bitter wounds of long lingering wars!

By this new year, may every soul sing-
'Live and let live' sharing this earth,
With their loved ones beneath their heavens,
Without explosions of arms' terror!

May God, the feet of this new year,
enable to leave soon such bloody battles,
And let every dreamer dream in their shelters,
Their dreams of lives without nightmares!
