Harrow Poem by Frederick Weyer

Harrow

Have you trod
The harrowing path
Betwixt innocent and guilt?
Have you drunk
From the harrowing fount
Where sorrow dwells restlessly?
Have you breathed
Deeply the harrowing air
Filled with fate's uncertainty?
Have you tasted the harrowing fruit
That blinds you to profanity?
Have you suckled
The harrowing teat
That binds you to impurity?
Have you looked
Upon the harrowing grave
Where is writ the end of days?
Have you not?
Then wake,
Live.
