Hate And Crime Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Hate And Crime

'Jealousy'
I care not for the word
Precarious and absurd
But there it stays in the
Dictionary.

Jealousy in itself is no crime
But a God-given emotion.
All hearts feel jealousy
From time to time.
But to act on the feeling
And take revenge
Can be serious in the end.
This is when jealousy
Turns to hate and crime.

I care not for the word
Precarious and absurd
But there it stays
In the dictionary.
