I was there once
begging on my knees
Expecting to hear kind words
from people
I thought who were with me
And I hated myself
seeing in a gutter
searching for gold
that i know, i won't find there
See, I am begging again
trying everything I can
So it's easier to breathe
Going on my knees again
crawling down, searching in vain
At another place, in another time
Like someone gone insane
But I am sorry darling,
I won't go any further
I guess, time is what matters
and I can't hate myself again!
