Hatred. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Hatred.

Rating: 5.0

One thing that burns you out
And burns you in, side by side,
And keeps you out of bed
And out of yourself and out of the world
And never allows you a moment of rest
And keeps your chest swollen and your heart fallen
And your mind in turmoil and you never wish for it to get finished
Until you get your fill of the poison that poisons your life
And still you want more of it to get the thrill out of it
And to fulfil your foulest scheme real or in a dream
And to see your brother in humanity downfallen and vanquished
And you relish in seeing him so and then you wish it would last
Present and future and past.
Hatred.
