machine medium
is an old heavily used
solid black Acer

laptop more than a decade old

through those time spent
keyboard fingertip soft
small shine indentations

a poet sits alone to pour out

mind soul into keystroke letters
letter following letter appearing
words screen appearing forming

into new poetic word form poems

the spirit of legions of poems
past typed on this black Acer laptop
on this time worn Acer keyboard

are spirits thousands of poems

ghosts which spread across a poetic
landscape rarely read still roaming
free to be found by any searching

soul curiosity desiring
to trace read shadows
whispering poetic has been
