Have A Date Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Have A Date

Have a date

Tonight, I have a date;
This "She" is another,
Can she be different?

Poor me, I am victim
Of smile on my face
And the way I converse!

Many ask for my name
Telephone and address
Exactly as was the…

Phone rang, showed "Private"
Not showing the number.

Normally reject them
But somehow did answer.

"Is that you? " used my name
I confirmed…

"This is me, the Katie, "
She said and gave reference
To when, where we had met.

Later she, sent me text
In it gave me number
We agreed, then after
To meet up for a date.

I feel sad, if not mad
With the way I handle
The brains of women;
Since hearts are broken
If not dead and shattered!

In dream they give me
Personage, character
Like making snowman
In middle of summer
Thoughtlessly, one sided.
