Have you ever watched a lion?
Wear a crown of dandelions
Or a forest of silver trees
That make music in their leafs
Maybe a women whose big toe
Was in the middle of her row
Perhaps you wept until you slept
After the dream lay shipwrecked
And you grew cold,
only growing old
Have you seen a penguin fetter?
In a garish Christmas sweater
Or a monsoon full of Toffee
Flood molasses over Mojave
Maybe you've met a one armed man
Kind to lend his other hand
And did you try to make the race
But got lost in the wrong place
Only to rise
at the ebbing tide
Have you ever felt out of tune?
With everyone inside a room
And did you ever try to hide
Like a balloon running to the sky
And did you hitch for a UFO?
But it left you on skid row
Have you ever baked a soufflé?
Only to watch it burn to flakes
Did you know success
by being second best
