Hazel Eyes Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Hazel Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Through childlike hazel eyes I see
A butterfly above, I cannot reach
Warm the air with a gentle breeze
So green the leaves atop of all the trees

Barefoot running I pretend
That I am bigger than the bottom land
Soft mosses making, happy feet
Laughing when the birds laugh back at me

From dawn to dusk, Shall I pretend
A hope this day to never end
Although I must for all my friends
Sweet dreams until we play again
