No leaf stirs,
the hazy curse, -
smogged...

Through smothering pall,
pedestrians crawl, -
clogged...

The cities' scourge
pipes a dry-throat dirge, -
grogged...

Folks sink, nor swim
in pungent steam, -
bogged...
