As The Night Fell Poem by Oleg Vorobyov

As The Night Fell

Rating: 5.0

As the night fell,
Seductively placate,
As sweet as caramelle,
Lay on the world prostrate.

As the night slept
On silken lulling linen,
A staggering wonder crept
Between the form and meaning.

As the night dreamt
Of delectations weird,
A revelation stemmed
From blind spots yet uncleared.

As the night beamed
Her affable opaqueness,
It looked that true, nor seemed
In its dispirited vagueness.
