He Called To Me Poem by Ray Hansell

He Called To Me

I heard this voice call out
Come over here to me
So I walked on over
But there was no one there to see

So I looked all around
But again I could not find
The One who was talking
Or, was I just losing my mind

But then the voice cried
Hello, I'm up here
I looked to the heavens
That's when I saw Him appear

In a robe of white
With long flowing hair
I knew that I was going
With Him up there

I said, hello my heavenly Father
Standing so very tall
I have been waiting
For I knew You would call

I know my time down here
Has come to it's end
I didn't think I'd see You
I thought someone else you would send

He said to me that's true
That's what I usually do
But I made an exception
When it came to you
