He Has A 'mean' Streak Poem by Eillio Imbasciati

He Has A 'mean' Streak

Sometimes there are cases in which the book is as dreadful as the cover,
But the words still linger,
As he's read worse within himself
Not bowling, nor sparing feelings,
Brutal in its appraisal,
But he too, reads as much as he speaks
Making many testimonials along the way,
He means them, he has a 'mean' streak
Judging the missive by the soul who speaks it,
But not really judging at all
Forming an assessment, hopefully accurate,
With much meditation and study on the matters proposed
He means it
