He's Lord, My God (Gifted To His Excellency, Benedict Xvi) Poem by Dr Anish Mathew John

He's Lord, My God (Gifted To His Excellency, Benedict Xvi)

(My poem gifted to Benedict XVI, The Pope in the month of April this year (2010) via a Priest in India who had attended a conference in Rome)

Father he is to all of us
Friend he is and always there
For he knows when you frail and fall
But always there with arms right wide.

The Lord, our God is full of life
He blows life full to all dead souls
Then veins are strong with zest all new
Happy the giver, the giver of life.

Born Immanuel, to live as Christ
Life he led, it final to cross
Laid his life in all one breath
But still we lead Him to the cross.

Our sins his nails, its hammered again
Pride and money all pierce his chest
Would never one love Him true to end?
The way He’s showered His endless love.

To forgive, to forget is life’s virtue
For gains we make in heaven’s account
To love our kin and pray a word
Let’s follow His way, His path to light.
