He's My Dad Poem by Jessica Penner

He's My Dad

Rating: 2.5

Who loves you and loves you e'en if you're bad
Or holds you and comforts you when you're sad?

Who comes to the table and bops on your head
Or if you can't sleep, lies down in your bed?

Who builds you a playhouse, the best one around
Or comes to look at the lizard you've found?

Who comes home tired from working all day,
Yet gets down on the floor with you to play?

Who gets the skidoo out to give you a ride
Or makes a hill out of snow so you can slide?

Who loves you, cares for you, prays for you tons?
He's a dad. And I have the best one!

It was perfect. Great ideas and stanzas. Just the last stanza was not that much good in rhyme. Good work.
