'He Said'

He said,
That he loved me.
That I was his everything.

But in the end,
He was lying
He never loved me.

He Said,
That he loved me
That I was his sun and moon.

But In the end
He was lying
He never loved me.

He said,
That he loved me.
That he would do anything for me.

But in the end,
He was lying,
He never loved me.
He said,
That he loved me,
That he would protect me.

But in the end,
He was lying,
He never loved me.
He never protected me.
He never loved me.

Poem of the Day

poet Algernon Charles Swinburne

I hid my heart in a nest of roses,
Out of the sun's way, hidden apart;
In a softer bed than the soft white snow's is,
Under the roses I hid my heart.
