Heal The Broken! Poem by Sara Tober

Heal The Broken!

I am broken inside,
But no one can see I hide.
I am lost and confused,
And people are very amused.
You see me hiding,
See my pain rising.
You are angry,
But don’t show it very much.
You want me to be happy,
But don’t want to seem too sappy.
I am here alone,
Just like a stone.
You wish to help,
But instead, by accident you yelp.
You get my attention,
With strange intention.
You walk over to me,
Acting all free.
You ask me my name,
And if I am tame.
I say I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours,
First you tell me you have chores.
I can tell you’re kidding,
So I keep on bidding.
Maybe you’ll be a good friend,
Something I need to mend.
I say my name is Sara,
You say you need a Tierra.
You say I’m a princess,
In need of a prince.
Then you tell me your name is Jared,
That’s just sugared.
You say you like me,
And you’ll let me be free.
I say you’re nice, I like you too,
This is not a rue.
I have a real friend,
Who treats me right,
How helps me,
Who’s not just a friend,
He loves me,
And I love him,
Love is what I needed,
Love healed me,
Love set me free,
Love is special,
Love you,
Love me,
Love.
